| Dean Conterato, M.D. - An authority in radiation oncology, Dr. Conterato's caring approach to his patients is one of compassion, support and concern for their welfare. Primary to his commitment to providing the best treatment for them, Dr. Conterato makes every effort to help them feel comfortable, and most importantly, understand their disease and their treatment. Not only is Dr. Conterato committed to his patients' education, he is also dedicated to teaching his peers. In addition to serving as Academic Instructor at Rush Medical College in Chicago, he instructs other physicians in the technique and use of prostate implants for the treatment of prostate cancer. Dr. Conterato has lectured on a diverse number of topics in cancer including the "Role of Multimodality Treatment of Lung Cancer" to the American Cancer Society. Dr. Conterato is the Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Rush North Shore Medical Center where he initiated and developed the implant program for prostate cancer and helped develop a comprehensive GI Tumor Clinic. Dr. Conterato also practices at the Chicago Prostate Center.
