Leonard Berlin, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. After completing his residency in radiology at the University of Illinois Hospital and achieving board certification, Dr. Berlin served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, he returned to Chicago, to enter the private practice of radiology and become an associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois.
In 1977, Dr. Berlin was appointed chairman of the department of radiology at Skokie Valley Community Hospital, later renamed Rush North Shore Medical Center, a position he currently holds. He was also appointed Professor of Radiology at Rush Medical College in Chicago.
In addition to his clinical and teaching duties, Dr. Berlin has lectured nationally and internationally, and written extensively on all aspects of radiologic practice. He has been the recipient of a number of professional awards for distinguished service, including Fellowship in the American College of Radiology, the Trustee Medal of Rush North Shore Medical Center, and the Gold Medal of the American Roentgen Ray Society. |
